Cables - SZW PROPHET GMBH
Wire ropes are applied to transfer a tractive force over a not necessarily straight connection. Thereby the rope can adopt a specific routing over roles, treads and pipes. To achieve these geometric flexibility the ropes are made out of several individual wires. The marked offers a wide range of cable constructions for the various operating conditions. The setup of the rope is exemplary represented with a rope with the construction 7x7: The cable ends/nipples are currently manufactured as pressing nipple or zinc diecasting nipple (ZAMAK nipple), rare plastic or plastic coating. Soldering nipples are no longer used because of environmental safety reasons. The flexibility depends significantly on the diameter of the individual wires. The thicker the wires, the more rigid is the rope. If a rope consists of more wires, with the same outer diameter, it is more flexible. The effective elongation under load of a cable depends on the cable construction and the material.
