Heating mats from Klöpper Therm work against the penetration of cold in to the ground and prevent upheaval of the ground and destruction of the foundations. Cold stores and cooling chambers give off cold to their environments. In the area of partly or fully sunk in the ground supports, foundations and floors the underlying soil receives the cold. If the natural heat flow from the environment and the earth is insufficient, the moisture in the ground freezes, expands and the ground is lifted. Depending on the nature of the ground, this may cause substantial damage to buildings. Frost heave protection in cold stores and cooling chambers is, therefore, an essential and a reliable preventative measure against frost damage and damp.

Concrete floor heatings from Klöpper Therm are the optimum protection against dangers from black ice in cold stores. Concrete brings heat from outside into the cooling chamber. Thereby the temperature of the concrete along the heat flow falls to the temperature of the cooling chamber. The moisture stored in the warmer air condenses on the cold concrete surface through which black ice can form. Dangers through the exchange of warmer and colder air arise particularly in the area of locks. When, through repeated opening of the doors, condensation from the walls and ceilings falls on the floor and black ice forms, it can lead to accidents. In consequence of the effects of permanent cold, doors can freeze solid at the seals and be severely damaged.

To maintain constant temperature in your tank or container, we provide the appropriate heating system. This could e.g. be implemented by heating the container surface with heating cables for holding temperatures of up to 250 °C. Transportable electrical heating equipment, including circulation pumps, are also available for holding temperature of up to 80 °C.

Temperature controllers and temperature sensors from Klöpper Therm are used in all electric heating systems in which the temperatures of the heated areas must be reliably measured and controlled with precision.
