The Gelbo Flex Tester with Particle Counter is to measure the amount of loose fibres (lint) shed from non-woven materials in a 30 second time period of flexing. It is important that non-woven textile materials must have a low tendency to lint. The IDM Gelbo Flex Tester with Particle Counter is a fast and accurate instrument for determining the linting of non-woven materials. This test can also be applied to other materials like tissues. The sample is subjected to repetitive twisting and compression cycles, air is withdrawn from the testing chamber and particles in the air stream are counted and classified with the laser particle counter. Gelbo Flex Tester with Particle Counter consists of two 82.8mm diameter mandrels, one fixed and the other attached to a moveable arm to perform the flexing action. The moveable mandrel twists and compresses the sample at 60 cycles/min of 180° rotation over 120mm of stroke.

Essential for direct reading and high-capacity torque wrench calibration! Mechanical loaders increase the accuracy ot torque test results while simultaneously reducing technician fatigue from pulling or pushing on torque wrenches during testing. A mechanical loader is the perfect accessory to increase the repeatability and productivity of the System 5 Digital Torque Tester. The drive system for each loader assures true 90-degree force application to eliminate force angle error in testing. In addition, the loaders mechanical advantage reduces technician effort and fatigue, particularly in high-capacity tool testing. SR Mechanical Loaders use the highest quality ball screws to assure smooth operation and extended service life. Welded steel frames and rigid transducer mounting plates assure torque load is properly resisted. Optimized gearing selection reduces physical effort to operate, enhancing productivity and ergonomic safety.

A prerequisite for the adhesion of an adhesive or coating to a surface is wetting. For wetting to take place, the surface energy of the substrate must be greater than that of the coating. In particular, very many plastics have a very small surface energy and are correspondingly difficult to bond. Often the aim of a plasma treatment is to make a surface wettable and bondable. The wettability can easily be tested with test inks. Diener electronic supplies a test ink set with 8 liquids with surface tensions between 30 and 73 (105) mN/m suitable for most practical applications. There is also a set of 23 test inks, with additional gradations between 30 and 73 (105) mN/m.
