InfraCam® of the manufacturer FlirSystems® is with only 550g very light and easy to operate. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor. Through precise high resolution of InfraCam® slight temperature differences are recognized clearly. A high quality, cost-effective inspection device with an operating time of seven hours. Over 50 years experiences in development and production of infrared cameras influenced the development of this new revolutionary model. Rapid developments in detection technology enabled to a small, compact, easy to operate and extremely favourable diagnostic tool. This technology that was so far in high-end infrared cameras and only accessible for limited users, is now open up to a larger circle of users thanks to InfraCam®. Now, InfraCam® produces and saves infrared pictures, which can be easily analysed due to updated software "ThermaCam QuickView". This software is included in delivery of scope of InfraCam®! Knight Optical offer a range of Stock N-BK7 Precision Grade Windows, for use with Thermal Imagining Cameras. Infrared radiation is characterised by the wavelengths ranging from 750nm to 1000µm. Although typically used for the visible range, N-BK7 does have transmission within the near infrared spectrum also. Where IR materials such as Germanium are limited to a small band in the IR spectrum, N-BK7 works well throughout the entire visible and into the NIR, making it a perfect material for a protective window for using within a Thermal Imaging Camera. A low cost material, it is perfect substrate for your protective window. We can supply both stock and custom N-BK7 windows to protect your thermal imaging application. The high optical quality and uniform transmission of N-BK7 as well as low absorption in the entire visible wavelength range is a key feature for this application. For more information read PDF

We can supply you with a custom made Diamond turned aspheric lenses for use within Thermal Imaging Cameras. Thermal Imaging Cameras work similarly to traditional visible camera systems; while traditional cameras form images using visible light; thermal cameras form images using infrared radiation; operating in wavelengths as long as 14µm. Spherical aberration occurs in common singlet lenses, which results in an image that appears distorted, aspheric lenses correct spherical aberration. An aspheric lens surface is designed non-spherical, which allows a single component lens to collimate or focus highly divergent rays, potentially replacing a multi-lens system. This in turn provides the camera system with a better image quality. Knight Optical offers diamond turned aspherics from a range of infrared materials including Germanium (Ge), Calcium Fluoride (CaF₂), Zinc Sulphide (ZnS), Zinc Selenide (ZnSe), Aluminium (Al) and chalcogenide glasses like AMTIR (Ge33As12Se55 ) PDF FOR INFO

Diamond turning is an Aspherics best friend! Knight Optical can supply you with a custom made Diamond turned aspheric lenses. Diamond turned aspheric optical lenses are typically used in missile guidance systems, night vision/thermal Imaging cameras and other military based optics and commercial infrared systems (IR). The benefit of Diamond Turned Aspheric optics, are that lens shapes can be manufactured very accurately without an expensive tooling cost except for the diamond bit; and is cost efficient for small quantities. Which are ideal for use within the Defence and Aerospace Industry. Knight Optical offers diamond turned aspherics from a range of infrared materials including Germanium (Ge), Calcium Fluoride (CaF₂), Zinc Sulphide (ZnS), Zinc Selenide (ZnSe), Aluminium (Al) and chalcogenide glasses like AMTIR (Ge33As12Se55 ).
