We have developed the world’s largest strander: Due to the design of its knife ring with a 2,500 mm diameter, a cutting width of 850 mm, 56 knives, as well as a maximum material throughput of 45 metric tons per hour bone dry, the new OSB flaker is considered a giant. Stranders of the PZU series are able to process logs to high-quality strands with a specific length, width, and thickness. Therefore, these machines are the best choice for the production of high-quality flakes in large quantities for OSB and wafer boards. Advantages Very good ratio between loading and cutting times Improved, simpler maintenance High strand throughput High strand quality with low fines content Low energy consumption

OSB/3 is made from pine chips, which come primarily from nurturing forest clearcuts. In the outer layers, the chips are arranged parallel to the longer side of the board, while in the inner layers they are arranged perpendicularly. This microstructure gives it high rigidity and resistance to bending. Thanks to the use of modern technologies, the board is characterized by excellent parameters. It is easy and inexpensive to process, resistant to harsh weather conditions, and provides excellent acoustic insulation. A big plus is also the ease of its installation. It is available in two variants: with straight edges and with four-sided tongue-and-groove milled edges.

Oriented Strand Board, OSB for short, is made from orientated layers of small chips, or strands, from fast growing, rapidly renewable trees including Poplar, Aspen and or Pine. These strands are bonded together with a mix of waxes and resins and then compressed under immense pressure to form the boards. Due to its comparatively lower cost and stronger shear strength, when compared to Plywood, OSB has become the construction industry’s panel of choice. OSB is commonly used for sheathing under roofing systems and load bearing wall and roof applications. OSB in and around the home If you are lucky enough to own a shed, you may have noticed OSB board from the inside of your shed roof. However, some larger sheds, or timber built garages, will also have OSB cladding fixed to the inside of the walls. The use of this product, in these situations, is primarily to provide additional structural strength to the structure however, the
