SEMIN is a family company established in 1838 by Jean-Louis Semin. In 1980, Philippe Semin took over management of the business. SEMIN is a leading independent French manufacturer, consolidating its position in Europe and developing its presence throughout the world. 1998: Semin sets up a production plant at Aspira de l’Agly. 2008: production plant and training centre created at Amblainville. And a factory in Russia, not far from Moscow. 2011: Semin sets up a factory in Amblainville to manufacture metal frames; the same year saw the creation of a subsidiary in Benjaia (Algeria). 2012: Semin acquires the access trap manufacturer RUG (Germany and the Czech Republic). 2015: Semin acquires Leroux, manufacturer of long-span and standard metal frames as well as a factory producing joint tape and reinforced tapes: BCN INTERNATIONAL in Barcelona. All of this means that SEMIN manufactures adhesives, fillers, access traps, tapes, plasterboard frames for plasterers, tilers and painters.
