In an attempt to maximize economic benefits from Upper Egypt’s agricultural products, UEICO established the Upper Egypt Company for Food Industries (UEFFI) in September 2009, with total capital EGP 99 million. UEFFI targets establishment of a factory for frozen-vegetables and fruits and other food industries in Beni-Suef. The factory creates 350 permanent and 100 temporary new job opportunities, and is basically targeting the export markets.
