Cooperative Galatea-Varna is a clothing company founded in Bulgaria in 1945. It is specialized in the production of ready-to-wear formal and casual garments.The company mainly produces ladies and men’s outerwear (coats and jackets), as well as suits, waistcoats, dresses, trousers and skirts, on CM and CMT basis, for export under long-term contracts with companies from the European Union.There has also been kept the tradition of making Bulgarian national costumes of all ethnic regions of the country, evoking yet greater interest abroad lately.There's 150 people employed in the cooperative, and its monthly production capacity amounts to 10000 garments.The company has very good equipment at its disposal, which includes ordinary and special machines: welt pocket machines; flatlock machines; knitting machines; embroidery machines; Ascolite button sewing machines; a CAD-CAM system for digitizing, grading and plotting of patterns; cutting equipment; fusing presses, and steaming presses and mannequins.
