In many places around the world we see massive migrations of people whose lives are in danger; they have lost their homes to natural disasters, are suffering from a lack of food, or are stricken by poverty. Refugees first find refuge in tent camps; however, these are not suitable for stays exceeding several months. That is why KOMA Space offers temporary humanitarian camps built using the SmartSpacePack system, which allows for more long-term housing in relatively high comfort and safety. The residential units and other buildings from the SmartSpacePack are usually complemented by sanitary stations – a source of drinking water, restrooms and laundry rooms.
