The noise levels in pipe and rod raising systems can be very high. A chute lined with secutex pipe modules ensures that noise levels are reduced and that surfaces are protected. The secutex material with inset perforated plates is particularly wearresistant and cushions the movement of pipes and rods very well. The cast sections are attached using drilled attachment holes. This machine technology developed for coating round steel tubes with a temporary corrosion protection convinces with its high performance. The surface quality of the solvent free coating with 100 % UV lacquer, the fast curing time of ≤ 1 second as well as an overspray recovery rate of more than 95 % are impressive features which, by their very nature, offer high economic efficiency. Additional modules individually perform either the cleaning work, dust removal or marking of tubes. This machine technology ensures perfect transport of the tubes without damage to the lacquer coat, while flexibly taking tube properties into account, such as sleeves or caps, diameters from 20-200 or from 200 to 500 mm, required throughfeed speeds of 30 - 100 m/min as well as surface temperatures from +1°C to +40°C. Whether operated as an individual machine or integrated in an adjustment line, the output parameters are characterised by minimum space requirement and low operating and maintenance costs. The Aerolift pipe lifting solutions are applied for many different situations and places. During production, storage, transhipment, and internal transport. For this specific situation we designed a lifting solution to handle bare and coated pipes aboard the ship. The ship, The Amazon, was converted to an ultra-deepwater J-Lay vessel. Our vacuum lifting devices are installed on 4 cargo hold cranes. In tandem mode the cranes will be used to load and unload 24-meter-long pipes in a cargo. The lifting devices are designed to limit deflection of double joint pipes or to handle the entire pipe by vacuum only.

The refinery bitumen is further treated by the introduction of processed air. This will give us oxidized bitumen. By maintaining a controlled temperature, the air is introduced under pressure into soft bitumen. Compounds of higher molecular weight are formed by the reaction of this introduced oxygen and bitumen components. Thus, the Asphaltenes and the Maltenes content increases resulting in a harder mix. This harder mix has a lower ductility and temperature susceptibility. The oxidized bitumen is used in industrial applications such as roofing and coating for pipes. By this method of processing, the bitumen that has a lower penetration can be manufactured, which can be employed for paving roads.
