UV Fused Silica can be used in Flame Detection Applications, due to its high transmission into the NIR range (approximately <92% avg 400-2000nm) meaning that a clear distinction can be made between different wavelengths of light. UV FS also has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion 0.55x10-6K-1 at 300K) compared to N-BK7 (7.1x10-6K-1), meaning that it can still provide optical performance under high temperature. UV FS also has a high melting point compared to N-BK7, providing further protection for your application in high temperature environments. UV FS is comparable to N-BK7 or other similar optical glasses in its performance, having a very similar average transmission over the VIS range up to approximately 2000nm and a slightly lower refractive index. Typical applications being to understand where insulation needs to be within a building, climate studies and solar monitoring systems. A dome is essentially a window that has two parallel curves faces. Domes are used to shield the thermopile/ sensor used for making the measurements within a Pyranometer. Our domes are polished to high standards having good form error and high clarity with excellent transmission in the UV, NIR and FarIR spectrums allowing for accurate measurement. Trotec presents T260 Infrared-Thermohygrometer. It has been designed and made as per the highest German quality standards. It has a high readability display. The DP mode provides simultaneous display of the dew point and surface temperature. Once the wall temperature is approaching or is lower than the dew point temperature, the user is warned by the T260 through an alarm tone and an optical laser signal.
