BVM have made the investment in CAD to provide the latest tools for its electronic & mechanical hardware design and integration team. This is essential when it comes to ensuring accurate integration of TFT displays, embedded motherboards, custom PCB's, wireless and cellular connectivity, enclosure design, additional electronics and a products overall look and feel.

Whether a new printed circuit assembly or an embedded system, prototypes can be produced for design verification and functional testing with your application software. Environmental & extended temperature testing, EMC testing and general cosmetic and functional tests are all part of the services we provide around product design so discrepancies can be identified & rectified before your product is released for manufacture & marketing.

It’s relatively straightforward to get up and running with an embedded O/S, but to obtain a robust, optimised and secure operating system – a deeper understanding is required. Our own processes are proven – and we can provide you with guidance on how an implementation should be configured with consideration to the implications of using flash storage, write filters, resilience to attack and system recovery procedures.

BVM’s broad experience in producing customised Embedded PC Systems has been transferred to producing a new & diverse range of “Build to Order” Mini-ITX system PC’s. Solutions are available with a wide variety of options for required i/o and processors. High or low processing demands to suit power usage, data and graphics manipulation. Suitable storage & memory types – along with a wide range of capacities are also available to suit your application.

BVM has an experienced team of operatives with the ability to manufacture and build the most complex cable harnesses, wiring looms – and provide ‘box build – from simple control boxes, power & distribution boxes to more complex systems. From the initial design, prototyping, production & test – through to delivery, every member of our team is committed to getting it right first time – produced to exacting standards, time after time. For data communication, video or radio signals where the frequency is usually high and the interference is minimal – we can fit typical connector types such as BNC, TNC, F-Type, N-Type, SMA (to name a few) coming either crimped or soldered depending upon your requirements.

At BVM we have been designing PCBs for many years and have experienced the changes in technology. From 16-bit CPU modules, disc and network interfaces to the latest high speed PCIe devices, custom power supplies and carrier boards, BVM have built up a library of standard building blocks and, combined with our engineering design experience, we consequently ensure your project and design is a successful one. For PCB layout we use Altium PCB designer which includes an ‘auto-router’ to the provides the means of an assisted layout tool which in turn means we maintain control and ensure an efficient design (and product) is produced – especially where repeatability of manufacture is concerned.
