The move comes as part of a broader group-wide strategic re-structuring, which also sees Simon’s counterpart Paul Clews become Alpha Manufacturing Managing Director. Andrew Humphrey remains Bri-Stor Group Managing Director, with both Simon and Paul reporting into him. The appointments come ahead of an extremely promising 2019 for both Bri-Stor Systems and Alpha Manufacturing, thanks to major contracts secured during 2018. The new structure will allow the sister companies a greater degree of autonomy and the opportunity to fully capitalise on their individual successes, whilst still retaining a group focus through Andrews’s continued leadership.

Eric Smith founded Bri-Stor Systems in 1983 and started by designing and manufacturing slide out racks for car derived vehicles. This product developed so much that a new range of van racking was launched which was used by many household companies such as BT and RAC, with whom we still work with today. Thanks to loyal customers and dedicated employees, Bri-Stor have enjoyed many years of prosperity in the industry, making us one of the largest LCV converters in Europe. The future looks bright for Bri-Stor for the next 30 years and we endeavour to continue working hard and meeting the demands of our customers through our innovative approach

Bri-Stor Systems have become Ford's first recognised QVM (Qualified Vehicle Modifer) for commercial vehicle racking conversions. As the only UK specialist racking and storage supplier to be approved by Ford, Bri-Stor Systems will become the go-to specialists for the entire UK network of Ford dealerships. The QVM scheme has been in existence in the US for 30 years and has now been introduced to Ford UK to underwrite the quality of Ford converted vehicles. The programme aims to build relationships between specialist companies such as Bri-Stor Systems, who by modifying Ford vehicles, help to contribute to the success of Ford Motor Company. In return, Ford hopes to contribute to the success of these specialist companies by approving them throughout their networks.
