Description
This product is made of high-grade polycarbonate or ABS and are typically designed for enclosing electrical and electronic components and even complete small-scale controllers. The BERNSTEIN Series CT plastic enclosers all comes with a transparent polycarbonate cover and follows protection class IP 65 of DIN EN 60529. Also provided are attachment bosses on the enclosures' base to built-in components mounting. Components can be easily secured using self-tapping mounting screws. These plastic enclosures allows various direct mounting options because attachment bosses' location and installation of mounting rails is possible. The BERNSTEIN Series CT enclosures are manufactured with the BERNSTEIN developed and patented quick-release fastener.

The aluminum enclosure Type CA from Bernstein is corrosion resistant, impact resistant and has a high mechanical strength due to which it is ideal for the encapsulation of electrical, electronic, pneumatic components and applications that are used in potentially explosive environments. The CA enclosures feature copper-plated earthing screws for connecting PE conductors on body and cover, and are finished in RAL 7001 in a silver/gray shade. Earthing sockets and mounting flanges can be utilized for mounting as well as for securing the built-in components. These come with factory-assembled seals that confer class IP 65 (optionally IP 67) protection according to DIN EN 60529.

Bernstein Series CP and CPS polyester enclosures are made of high-grade glass fiber-reinforced polyester. The black polyester enclosures conform to the requirements for Ex applications and are sufficient for accepting and encapsulating electrical and electronic and control components in harsh environments or implicitly explosive atmospheres. All enclosures have achieved protection class IP 66 in accordance with DIN EN 60529. The captive stainless steel cover screws are maintained by a self-latching element integrated into the cover. The threaded bushes are embedded in the flange on the narrow sides of the base and obtain mounting rails, plates and PC boards.
