The company Carl Warrlich was founded in Treffurt in 1904. In just a few years, the company was able to make a name for itself as a planing and sawing mill. Its experience in manufacturing grill lighter fluids and firelighters stretches back to the year 1951. By developing a new system to manufacture coal lighters, the company's owner at the time, Heinz Warrlich, managed to introduce a highly unique production method that remains unparalleled in Europe even today. At that time, the brand name FLAMMAT was also introduced by Carl Warrlich, which is now being used for our products once again. The brands consists of high-quality products that have held a strong market presence for a considerable amount of time. The family-owned enterprise has grown into a considerable business with over 50 employees. After its re-privatisation in 1990, the production facilities were completely reconverted, and new technologies and materials were introduced. Today, work takes place under state-of-the-art production conditions.
