The history of ChèvrArdennes began in the 1970s with the creation of an experimental plant dedicated to producing goat's cheese in Bastogne, in the heart of Belgium's Ardennes region. The plant was then taken over by Vache Bleue, enabling it to benefit from the Loicq family's expertise and know-how. In 2005 ChèvrArdennes moved to its current Nivelles site. We are focussed on total quality: milk always arrives at Vielsam (Ardennes) where it is also pasteurised. One of the secrets of our cheeses' taste, is our deliberate choice to produce locally in the Ardennes which favours the well-being of milk goats chosen by ChèvrArdennes, one of the keys to producing better milk … and therefore a delicious cheese. ChèvrArdennes' production has been awarded European BRC certification. It is constantly progressing and developing new markets outside Belgium.
