Plasma CNC cutting is a process used to cut steel and other metals using plasma burners. The inert gas is driven at high speed through the nozzle, while at the same time an electric arc is established through the gas to the working part, turning part of the gas into plasma. The plasma is warm enough to melt the metal and to melt steel, stainless steel, and of course all other other metals, ie materials that conduct electricity, by melting the metal. Plasma cutting has a very wide application and is used for cutting atypical products according to the client's wishes. The thickness range of the sheet metal we cut is from 2 mm to 20 mm per order.
Turkey
Plasma cutting operates by firing an electrically ionised heated gas (plasma) out of a nozzle at a high speed towards the metal. This will form an electrical ark within the gas. High level of heat is generated as electricity from the nozzle travels down this plasma. This heat melts the metal where cutting is achieved. Plasma cutters can cut stainless steel, aluminium, brass and copper along with mild steel. It’s particularly ideal for thick metal, up to 50 mm. If cutting highly reflective or very thick sheets of metal is required, plasma should be the ideal cutting method. Our modern steelwork fabrication shops have computer-aided design and detailing (CAD), which is linked directly to factory floor computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery, creating a genuine seamless CAD/CAM environment. Novelty Steel has adapted EN 1090-2 standards into its manufacturing processes supervised by experienced quality management team.

Metal plate CNC controlled gas cutting up to 6000 mm x 2000 mm, thickness of 150 mm We have over 30 years of experience in metal plategas cutting . Today, CNC controlled gas cutting is a very effective and economical method of cutting metal plate. Thanks to several cutting heads, we are able to guarantee a large quantity of finished products in a short time. Despite major progress in the development of other cutting methods (laser cutting, water jet cutting or plasma cutting), gas cutting continues to enjoy great popularity. It is a relatively slow method, but with the right technological approach it guarantees high efficiency of production at a very low cost of finished elements. Gas cutting has no competition in terms of cutting sheets of more than 60 mm. The only technology that can be used instead is water jet cutting, but gas cutting is by far cheaper.
