In connection with very precise digital voltmeters the model 1282 resistors are used as measuring resistors for accurate registration of direct and alternating currents up to 200 A. The range of application for the high-precision resistance decades models 1406 and 1407 stretches from reference standard for precision measurements up to simulation ot a host of measuring transducers. They can be used for control in complicated equipments and systems, such as equivalent circuit in resistor networks. Another application is the use in switching circuits, as reproducible variable in laboratory and test assemblies. The decade resistors meet all the requirements of these differing functions as well as the resulting demands. The high-precision resistance decades models 1406 and 1407 are designed to meet the highest demands with regard to precision, temperature and long-term consistency. Many years at experience, tried-and-tested technology and the use of fieldproven materials guarantee the high level of precision. The decade resistors consist of low-capacity and low inductance wire windings of MANGANIN®.

Today resistance thermometers are one of the important precision and operating measurement instruments of technical temperature measurement. Fast and easy testing of display, control and recording devices in measurement and process engineering is essential. Fixed temperature values can easily be simulated according to the characteristic curves of Pt100, Pt500 and Pt1000 using the precision resistors calibrated in °C (the inscription also includes the resistance value in Ω). The small dimensions of the resistors allow the installation in measuring instruments or measuring circuits for comparison or control measurements. Precision resistors are used wherever the highest standards of temperature stability, error tolerance and durability are required. Models 1164 and 1166 are available for higher loads up to 1 W. The resistors are supplied with two connections on the front end (suitable for mounting on circuit boards). The precision resistors comprise low-capacitance, low-inductance wire coils made of MANGANIN®, which are encapsulated in small plastic cylinder housings. Prior to trimming, the resistance bodies are exposed to a meticulous artificial aging procedure. This special process and trimming to approximately half of the nominal tolerance guarantee long-term stability of < 0.02% over the course of years.
