The short bar loading magazine Multi 3000 was developed in Switzerland. Manufactured in Germany with first-class materials and components. The MULTI-3000 guarantees long-term reliability. It impresses with its service and environmentally friendly design. It is also a fully electric and servo-controlled magazine. Easy access to all parts makes it extremely user-friendly. It is very simple to understand and therefore easy to operate. Set-up and changeover is possible within 2-5 minutes due to the well thought-out design. The patented lifting mechanism guarantees an impact-free and fast loading cycle. Further features are the smooth material feed, an optimal control and monitoring of the material feed, as well as the exact positioning of the bar without mechanical stop. Due to its design, the Multi 3000 does not require a shifting device to change the Spindle Liner. A shifting device is optionally available in X- and Z-axis and in different lengths.

Thanks to its innovating system, SBL takes, counts and moves the bars for shearline feeding in a completely automatic way. With SBL you save money and enhance productivity due to its flexibility. The pressure transmitters of the 33X-Ed series use digital compensation with a mathematical model to achieve exceptional accuracy of 0,05 %FS – in the temperature range from 10 to 40 °C, this value even corresponds to the total error band. Additional measurements and selections can optionally be used to achieve a precision (and also, if calibrated in an accredited test laboratory, an accuracy) of 0,01 %FS. In addition to the digital RS485 interface, the X-line transmitters have a rangeable, analog current or voltage output. Pressure-proof housing – suitable for use in explosive atmospheres.

The particle image velocimetry (PIV) is an optical noninvasive working flow velocity measurement method. The flow field is made visible by introducing into the fluid small buoyancy neutral particles – the so called tracers. The particle flow then is illuminated with the aid of a light sheet and recorded at two defined different times within a small time interval with a digital camera. Because the particle move within this time interval with the flow, one can calculate the particles velocity by knowing its path between the two moments of illumination. The result is a velocity vector field of the flow. Here, we assume that the particles are small and follow the flow without any slip. Compared to local methods like LaserDopplerVelocimetry (LDV) with the ParticleImageVelocimetry one can reconstruct a whole flow region An extension of ParticleImageVelocimetry is the combination of PIV with thermometry (PIV/T).
