Description
The IEC 6185092 LE Merging Unit is the optimal solution for process bus interfacing. It allows the consolidation of measurements made in the switchyard, feeding protection relays, meters and fault recorders located in the control room. The use of fiberoptical communications makes it inherently safe. By eliminating the majority of copper wiring, the CSN® Merging Unit addresses key technical and logistic challenges affecting the cost of substation design, construction and maintenance. The simple and disturbancefree architecture of the open IEC 6185092 process bus allows operation of relay, meter and faultrecording equipment of different manufacturers on the same bus. The IEC 6185092 LE Merging Unit collects data from conventional instrument transformers and converts the analog signals into a digital protocol

The CSN® HECT, HEVT and HECT/VT by Schniewindt combines proven sensor technology and opticaldigital data transfer according to the standard IEC 6185092, creating a future orientated solution for applications in high voltage AC substations. The required values to be measured are recorded in analog signal form by conventional sensor elements (R/C high voltage divider for voltage measurement and Rogowski coil for current measurement) on HVline potential and transferred to the RemoteDataModule (RDM) mounted in the head construction of the instrument transformer. The RDM converts the recorded data into a digital serial protocol and transmits them via optical fiber to the Merging Unit (MU), located in the control room. CSN® screwin heating units are particularly suitable for the direct heating of liquids, air and gases. In relation to the process, we provide you with screwin or tank heating units with tubular heating elements made of stainless steel which we adjust to the respective application situation and the medium to be heated in consultation with you. The surface loadings, a very critical design feature for the longterm durability of the elements, are calculated for their specific application. For exact temperature monitoring, the screwin heating units can be manufactured with various controllers and / or limiters, as well as PT100 sensors or sheath thermocouples.
