Continuous filament mat unifilo 500 series

UNIFILO® 700 Series continuous filament mats represent a large choice of tailored preforming solutions for closed mold process. EASY PROCESSING S744, S750 products enable extra stretch and good resin flow for deeper draw applications. U746 product provides good stretch and excellent resin flow required in multilayer applications. ENHANCED MECHANICAL PROPERTIES T750, T754 products provide enhanced mechanical properties in the crossmat direction. U720 product provides stronger and more durable preforms. It is well suited for automated processes. CORROSION RESISTANCE Excellent corrosion resistance with Advantex® Glass compared to standard Eglass providing longer service life in applications facing corrosion. U700 products are available with varying filament layout and binder contents to match up with specific customer applications.

UNICONFORM® mat is well suited for very complex forms requiring high deformation in closed molding process, and enables excellent translucency in panel applications. CHALLENGING APPLICATIONS Good drapability and highstretching provide ease of conformability and deformability to complex contours, while easy splicing and overlapping enable large and complex part design. IMPROVED SURFACE AESTHETICS The open mat structure enables a consistent resin distribution throughout the surface, providing a smooth appearance behind the gelcoat. Excellent panel clarity and translucency is provided by the use of glass material — no synthetic core or stitching. IMPROVED PERFORMANCES Continuous fibers provide high tensile and flexural performance to the final part. Lack of chemical binder provides improved smoke and fire resistance properties.

M715 chopped strand mat represents a compelling solution in contact molding applications where quick wetting, rapid air release, good conformability and low resin consumption are desired. EASY HANDLING & MOLDABILITY Maximizes molding productivity by reducing the labor required to roll out product. Ease of handling and ability to conform rapidly to complex molds. HIGH PERFORMANCE Optimizes resin consumption resulting in higher glass content and improved mechanical properties. ENHANCED SERVICE LIFE Compared to standard Eglass, Advantex® glass helps with enhanced service life in applications facing corrosion. M715 is available in Mexico and Latin America. EASY HANDLING AND MOLDABILITY Optimized bonding and chop length mix bring high conformability and easy hand tearing for tailored shapes. PROCESS EFFICIENCY Fast wetting and quick air release maximize molding productivity. Excellent weight uniformity helps laminate consistent thickness. ENHANCED SERVICE LIFE Compared to standard Eglass, Advantex® glass helps with enhanced service life in applications facing corrosion. M720 mat is designed for hand layup process with polyester, vinyl ester resin systems.
