The arrangement of two oscillating heads working in opposite directions results in an unusually light construction for a resonance testing machine with a nominal load of 500 kN. With the double spindle arrangement, the overall height could also be kept relatively low. The clamping length is adapted to the customer's needs by means of spindle extensions.

An idea over forty years old to be able to carry out static tests on resonance testing machines in the fastest possible work steps has been implemented with a new, innovative special version of the 100-time proven testing machine RUMUL TESTRONIC. The possibility to directly combine dynamic vibration tests with static tests is particularly attractive. The oscillation of fracture mechanics specimens and the subsequent breaking open of the specimens without having to switch to another testing machine is an efficient and economical application of this special device TPP.

The crack length measuring system FRACTOMAT is a system that works according to the indirect potential method, which is used for the exact measurement and control of the crack length and the crack propagation in fracture mechanics samples. The various interfaces allow use in any test set-up, including any other makes of testing machine. The transducer consists of a crack length measuring film (KRAK GAGE), which is glued to the specimen in an electrically insulated manner like a strain gauge and connected to the FRACTOMAT.
