It is an adhesive heat shield made from a metalized polyamide polymer laminated to a light weight glass fiber cloth with a high temperature pressure sensitive adhesive for use in extreme temperature swing environments. It’s minimal clearance and ease of use makes Gold glass tape a highly effective material for firewalls, fuel cells, engine covers, under hoods, engine compartment, bulk heads, seat bottoms, and anything or area that needs protection from heat. It is a glass fibre tape covered with a thick layer of red silicone rubber which provides the tape with a high level of heat insulation. It is a very flexible tape, which is suitable for protecting hoses and electric cables by means of bandaging without having to disassemble or disconnect the parts to be covered. It offers continuous protection at operating temperatures of 250°C and can withstand splashes of molten metal up to 1200°C. Aluminized adhesive carbon felt is made of 100% pre-oxidised polyacrylonitrile fibre in a black colour. It is fully fireproof and an excellent fire retardant; it does not drip and has very low fume emissions; it can also be used as a fire blanket because it is fire-resistant up to temperatures with peaks around 800°C. It has good chemical resistance, in particular to alkalis, diluted acids and solvents, and a good ability to reflect heat and increase the luminosity of work places.
