DeNOx - Catalysts

There is a typical case of application for successfully cleaning DeNOx -catalysts in the DeNOx-plant which does not require any complex dismantling and reassembling: The removal of ammonium salt from the surface of DeNOx-catalysts in incineration plants. Here, we have several years of experience in restoring activity from 90 up to 100 %. Besides the cost saving, this procedure has enormous logistical advantages as shorter shutdowns can also be used. Comprising a catalyst volume of up to 50 cubic metres simply requires three to five days which includes the building site installation. During the “Wildeshauser Catalyst Days” in September 2008, incineration plant owners reported their experiences with our in-situ-cleaning, in detail.

In order to offer our customers the high savings potential by ultrasonic regeneration of DeNOx – catalysts, we keep our approved and highly developed regeneration method ready for them. In addition, we offer services that mean complete order processing from a single source.

EBINGER has a big stock of used honeycombs and plate-type catalysts from various manufacturers at its disposal. It is very intact material which can be adapted to the technical requirements of the customer’s catalyst after our careful ultrasonic regeneration. This adaptation takes place during the regeneration process in our plant, both with respect to the requested activity and conversion rate as well as with regard to the design-related properties of the respective customer’s DeNOx plant. According to the experience gained from ultrasonic regeneration and the reuse of tens of thousands of cubic meters of DeNOx catalyst material, the inactivation behavior of ultrasound-regenerated used catalysts corresponds exactly to that of new catalysts. The savings made by working with used catalysts compared to buying new material is between 35 to 50%.
