EXCOR PERIGOL VCI 230 is used to provide corrosion protection for ferrous metals, steel, cast iron, copper and aluminium alloys as well as fully or partially galvanised steel. Solvent-free PERIGOL VCI 230 contains vaporising corrosion inhibitors and may be applied via immersion, spraying or brushing.
This product has been specially developed for the protection of metallic cavities. Thanks to the VCI it contains, coating the floor of a case suffices to protect the inner walls from corrosion.
PERIGOL VCI 230 is compatible with a wide variety of engine and gear oils, meaning as a rule it does not have to be removed after shipment. In direct contact with metal surfaces PERIGOL VCI 230 forms an oily, non-wipeproof film on the metal surfaces which may be removed using aqueous alkaline media.
EXCOR PERIGOL 100 is suitable for corrosion protection of ferrous metals, uncoated or partially galvanised steel, cast iron and other metals. PERIGOL 100 may be applied using immersion or spraying techniques.
EXCOR PERIGOL 100 corrosion protective oil only requires a brief drip-off time and when applied can resist temperatures of up to approximately 50º Celsius. Solvent-free PERIGOL 100 forms an oily, non-wipeproof film on the metal surfaces which may be removed using aqueous alkaline media.
EXCOR EMIBO Classic Capsules can be used as VCI diffusers in cavities in transport and storage packages. The simple dosing and ease of handling makes them ideal for users' individual container systems; spent diffusers are simply replaced by new ones. If used according to the instructions, EXCOR EMIBO VCI diffusers provide corrosion protection for up to 15 years.
If the packaging is re-used, the capsules can be replaced as and when the circumstances of your product cycle allow. EXCOR will be glad to offer advice on suitable replacement intervals. On request EXCOR can provide EMIBO Classic capsules fitted with self-adhesive strips or Velcro to allow them to be attached to the packaging.
EXCOR VALENO Layer Boards offer highly versatile structural anti-corrosion packaging suitable for use as lattice box lining, box dividers, interleaving sheets or small containers.
Their durability makes VALENO Layer Boards ideal for multiple or long-term use. Depending on operational conditions, their depot-like nature means that EXCOR VALENO Layer Boards can diffuse VCI for up to five years, offering secure, long-term corrosion protection.
EXCOR ABRIGO Solid Fibre Board with integrated EXCOR corrosion protection is used chiefly as interleaving sheets for stackable metal products, for instance in the automobile industry.
EXCOR offers ABRIGO Solid Fibre Board in a variety of thicknesses and shapes. According to the customer’s wishes the board can be manufactured as a one-sided or two-sided product.
VALENO Bubble Film is flexible, light internal packaging made of polyethylene which provides excellent cushioning coupled with active EXCOR VCI corrosion protection. It acts as an air cushion which protects metal surfaces from vibration and impacts during transport.
EXCOR VALENO Bubble Film is available in rolls and sheets or as bags, tubes and covers.
The metal-working industry chiefly uses EXCOR ABRIGO Crepe Paper for packaging unevenly shaped parts. Due to its good stretchability crepe paper adapts to the shape of the part and does not tear. The creped structure gives the paper good cushioning properties To provide an outer barrier layer VCI Crepe Paper can be coated with polyethylene. The degree of creping of paper determines its longitudinal stretchability and pliancy.
EXCOR ABRIGO crepe papers offer all these properties, adapted to the customer’s wishes. For our EXCOR ABRIGO crepe papers we process raw paper ranging from 30 - 200 g/m² and with degrees of creping from 5 - 200 per cent (by creping we mean the percentage increase in base weight due to the crinkling it brings about). EXCOR ABRIGO crepe papers are available as rolls or sheets.
Shrink film produces a close bond between the packaging film and the packaged merchandise. The heat-induced shrinking process causes the film to cling tightly to the merchandise or container, thereby avoiding vulnerable points which may suffer damage during shipment or transport. Shrink film may be processed manually, semi-automatically or fully automatically. The shrinking properties may be adjusted to the specific application in terms of both direction and degree of shrinkage.
The standard version of EXCOR VALENO shrink film shrinks biaxially, i.e., equally in all directions. Individually tailored degrees of monoaxial or biaxial shrinkage can also be produced on request. All VALENO shrink film is made of polyethylene and can be used in packing machines. The EXCOR VCI substance is integrated into the polymer matrix and active on both sides.
EXCOR VALENO S Film can resist heavy mechanical loads both during application and on subsequent loading or transshipment, including the stresses exerted on vulnerable corners and sharp edges.
To this end EXCOR VALENO S Film offers special mechanical properties in terms of tensile strength, resistance to tearing, elongation at tear and puncture resistance in conformity with DIN EN ISO 527-3/2/200 and ASTM D1709/A.
In many cases these properties are sufficient to allow a reduction in film thickness, saving customers money and reducing the environmental impact.
EXCOR ZERUST Capsules have been specially designed for the protection of electrical and electronic equipment such as switchboards. EXCOR VCI corrosion protection is provided within a defined radius.
EXCOR offers customers ZERUST capsules which remain effective for approximately one to two years, depending on how well sealed the surrounding space or packaging is.
EXCOR ZERUST Capsules should be positioned as centrally as possible within the packaging and as close as possible to the metal requiring protection. A self-adhesive strip on the back of each capsule makes them easy to attach.
