ABO Kraft & Wärme operates a refuse fermentation plant in Rhineland-Palatinate. In the refuse fermentation plant, approx. 24,000 tons of bio waste are converted annually into 2.3 million cubic meters of biogas. An initial combined heat and power plant generates electricity for approx. 1,500 households and the waste heat from the CHP is used as process heating. In order to increase the efficiency, the operator has decided to expand the existing CHP, dating from 2008, using a Pro2 CHP with new gas treatment. The heart of the new CHP plant is the MWM TCG3016V16 (800kW electrical output) generator - due to its high efficiency and wide availability. The new CHP plant was also built as a container version and individually adapted to the local conditions. Of course, the new formaldehyde limit values of max. 20mg/m³ and all safety-relevant equipment have been taken into account accordingly. The entire system provides an electrical output of 1,516 kW and approx. 1,421 kW thermally. You...
