Description
The GFC205 is a panoramic portable unit derived from our well known Crawler series but designed to be operated on field without mechanical carriage. This unit has then naturally inherited the reliability of the crawler technology of Balteau NDT. The GFC205 can deliver up to 200 kV and 5 mA and can be classified in the range of middle power units available at Balteau NDT. It will easily surpass the poor contrast of Isotopes and will be a very interesting replacement in medium thickness ranges where Isotopes are generally not performing well. In combination with a GFD (Directional) or a CERAM, the GFC205 will allow you to perform all kind of exposures with a limited number of units.

A generator needs a reliable, flexible and stable power supply for working. With a Crawler, this power supply is brought by a battery set embarked in the mechanical carrier. The CF3 is the power converter (Chopper) between the batteries and the Generator. However the CF3 is also an intelligent regulator which will be able to give out of your batteries the most stable and constant output all along your exposures. Our Chopper CF3 is the result of the technology evolution that is applicable in electronics nowadays. Based on the well known CF1 that has equipped several generations of Crawlers around the globe, this new model has also been developed to be used with the major brands of Crawler Manufactures. The CF3 features a separate set up and remote control device (CFR) which allows you to manage parameters and preheating functions.

An exclusive feature allows generator to operate at constant kV and mA no matter of the battery cycles. This feature ensures a stable dose output and guarantees image quality consistency all along the exposure time. This specific process, is also improving the operating possibilities of the battery pack. Indeed much more exposures can be taken. This process improves the battery lifetime thanks to a better management of discharge cycles.
