The Dryflex T range, based on SEBS, comprises a family of fully transparent grades offering hardnesses from 30 to 90 Shore A. Grades with compliance to major food regulations are available. They are microwave, dishwasher and freezer friendly and offer excellent adhesion to PP. Applications include High value packaging Personal care items Sporting goods and goggles Grips and handles Food containers Download Dryflex T Product Guide Measuring Transparency Refractive Index (ISO 489 / ASTM D542) The refractive index, or index of refraction, is the ratio of the velocity of light in a vacuum to its velocity in the material in question. The refractive index is useful in identifying materials and is an important performance indicator in optical application. The Index of refraction can be calculated using Snell's Law: n1 / n2 = sin Ɵ2 / Ɵ1 where n1 and n2 are the refractive indices of mediums 1 and 2, Ɵ1 is the angle of incidence and Ɵ2 is the angle of refraction. With an ever increasing refuse stream, Government waste prevention programmes and new industry targets, the demand for products made from recycled materials is rising, meaning that recyclability is becoming an increasingly important attribute for polymers. However, thermomechanical degradation from the repeated melting during the recycling process, weathering and contamination can all have negative effects on properties and performance. Dryflex TPE impact modifiers can be added to the recyclate, helping to transform the properties from stiff and brittle to flexible and tough and improve the impact resistance and aesthetics of the finished product. Dryflex TPE compounds are being used as impact modifiers in both primary and secondary recyclate supply streams. Compatibilisation Dryflex TPE impact modifiers can also function as a compatibiliser when used with commingled sources of non-polar polymers such as PP, PE and PS. When added to an immiscible polymer blend, the TPE modifies inte

Thermoplastic Vulcanisate or TPV compounds are high performance materials designed for demanding and dynamic applications. They are composed of a highly vulcanised rubber phase dispersed throughout a thermoplastic matrix and combine the processing ease, efficiency and recyclability of a thermoplastic with the improved flexibility, low compression set and resistance to aggressive fluids of a vulcanised rubber. This combination makes TPV’s ideal for variety of applications in several markets such as automotive, construction and appliances. Our Dryflex V range offers: A wide range of hardness’ Grades that can be processed by injection moulding, extrusion, blow moulding and thermoforming Service temperatures of -60°C to 135°C Improved resistance to aggressive fluids such as oils, acids, bases and aqueous solutions Low compression set Low flex fatigue Lightweight parts Design flexibility Recyclability Excellent weathering and environmental resistance Download Dryflex V - Thermoplastic

With our Dryflex WS range we have turned the usual water-resistant properties of TPEs on their head to engineer materials that swell up to ten times their volume when immersed in water. Dryflex WS are a range of thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), which contain hydrophilic particles. They swell at a controlled rate and percentage, with swell rates from 300 to 1000% when immersed in water. When there is no longer water present the compound shrinks back to its original size, a process that can be repeated an almost unlimited number of times. Dryflex WS materials are used in applications to form a positive seal and prevent the ingress or exit of water. We have also developed softer grades which offer excellent drapability. They are an ideal choice for water stop applications where the profiles may be coiled or need to be fitted around complex structures. Compounded in any colour, the water swellable TPE is 100% recyclable and can be processed using conventional plastic fabricating methods, i

Lifoflex FLAM are a range of halogen-free flame retardant thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) designed to meet the most demanding applications where resistance to ignition and burning are important features. Lifoflex FLAM compounds contain additives to give them better resistance to burning compared to general TPE grades. The range includes halogen, chlorine and antimony free grades which are low smoke and compliant with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directives, offering flame retardancy without the use of polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE). Lifoflex FLAM 600 series Flame retardant TPE, halogen free, fulfils the specification of UL 94 V0 with 3mm wall thickness. Easy processing by injection moulding and extrusion. Lifoflex FLAM 700 series The Lifoflex UV FLAM 700 series fulfils the highest specifications of flame retardant materials and can be used for railroad applications. A profile tested to DIN 5510-2:2009-05 (preventive fire protection in railway vehicles), rec
