In principle, in the parallel arrangement, the vertically aligned rotary drive axis (swivel motor) is placed next to the linear drive axis, which is also vertically aligned and preferably consists of two linear cylinders. The swivel motor is inserted and lifted in a motor support mounted separately in linear guides. The pallet holder is mounted directly on the shaft of the swivel motor or in a separate pivot bearing in the motor support. Tilting moments caused by large asymmetrical loading conditions are thus safely absorbed. We offer customized solutions for various applications. Our qualified team will be happy to advise you.

The swivel motors with attached hydraulically released spring-applied multi-disc brake are recommended if a swivel position must remain unchanged once it has been reached – even over an unlimited period of time – despite the effect of a load torque. The brake is used solely to hold the load. It should only be noted that large transmission delays in the lines can cause time differences between the switching off of the swivel motor and the application of the released brake caused by spring force. In order to provide our customers with the right drive for all areas of application, the HSB swivel motor is available in a total of 5 different versions. Swivel motors from this series are generally suitable when program sequences such as acceleration – travel – deceleration in open-loop or closed-loop controlled systems are determined via proportional or servo valves. The swivel motors in this series are often also suitable in combination with simple hydraulic circuits if the inertia forces occurring are small, e.g. when opening and closing emptying systems, actuating valves, placing and removing workpieces, swiveling load handling devices and much more. In order to provide our customers with the right drive for all areas of application, the HSG swivel motor is available in a total of 11 different versions. Like all Hense rotary vane motors, rotary vane motors in the HSS series are designed according to the rotary vane principle. The drive shaft has axial and radial plain bearings in coated bushes. The coating used is tribologically optimized and ensures low wear. Sufficient lubrication of the bearing points is ensured by the supplied hydraulic oil. To reduce the internal friction of the motor, the hydraulic separation of the working chambers in this series is partly achieved by means of pressure and viscosity-dependent throttle sections. HSS motors are ideal for generating oscillating swivel movements in the frequency range with small angular amplitudes in controlled systems. The HSS series is therefore recommended for use whenever semi-dynamic torsion tests need to be carried out reliably and cost-effectively.
