Microwave measurement device, Continuous InLine measurement of dry matter or consistency Description At the microwave measurement technology an electromagnetic wave with very low energy is generated. This signal is coupled via an antenna into the product (Cellulose, Cheese, Milk, Curd, etc.). Depending on the dielectric properties of the product the signal propagates in the product. After the signal has passed the product a second antenna receives the signal (Transmission). Amplitude and phase shift of the received signal are an expression for the consistency, water content or dry matter of the product. The microwave measurement is very stable and it has a quick response to product changes.

Microwave Resonator, Continuous In Line Moisture measurement Description The microwave resonance measurement uses the electromagnetic energy stored inside a resonator to determine the water content of a product. Via a non conducting window, the resonator field is coupled into the material located in front of the resonator. This so called leakage field is not radiated. Depending on the dielectric properties of the product, the shift of resonance frequency and bandwidth of the resonator is used for measurement. The ratio of bandwidth and frequency shift is density independent. The measurement is highly suitable for bulk material.

NIR LED– Technology, Continuous InLine density measurement Description The HK8 Series are NIR (Near Infrared) LED InLine measurement devices with state–of–the–art technology. The devices are used on conveyor belt, in pipelines (connection via flowthrough measuring cell or flange) and in tanks / vessel. Through the modular construction (Sensor and evaluation unit are separate), the sensor can be installed at a difficult accessible places and the evaluation unit can be installed at a well accessible place. This ensure the easy handling. The modular construction makes the operation of the HK8– Series very easy.
