FOR VARIOUS INDUSTRIES AND A VARIETY OF APPLICATIONS LIPP bulk silos are being used from a variety of industries and companies for different applications. Since decades, LIPP silos are used for the storage of grain in flower mills or as storage for animal feed in the agricultural sector. Also the furniture and wood industry is using LIPP silos to store wood chips or saw dust. ADVANTAGES OF LIPP BULK STORAGE A growing application is the storage of pallets for biomass plants. Different manufacturing companies are using LIPP bulk material silos as storage of buffer for their raw materials. The enhanced stability coming from the Double Fold System allows to construction of silos with big diameter and height ratio, with free carrying roofs as well as a fast filling and extraction. The silos can be built in closed manufacturing halls or building, very narrow installation sites and on high steel or concrete structures.

GUARANTEED OPTIMUM STORAGE FOR A WIDE VARIETY OF MATERIALS The storage of bulk materials needs to be not only cost effective but also safe, and systems should be easy to integrate in production processes. LIPP Double Seam technology and welded LIPP tanks have proven to be particularly suitable for bulk storage applications in industry and agriculture. LIPP silos provide a high level of stability and total leak tightness and protect bulk materials from moisture. The smooth internal walls of the silos are a benefit that pays dividends when storing special media. All kinds of bulk materials Grain Soya Silage fodder Woodchips Pellets Clinker brick Cement SILOS FOR STORING GRAIN AND OTHER FOODSTUFFS Grain, soya and other foodstuffs are precious commodities and a major asset in agriculture and they need to be stored particularly carefully. With the tried and tested Lipp Double Seam System, Lipp silos offer major benefits in terms of design and leak tightness.

Depending on the industrial sector, more or less complex processes take place with more or less difficult media. These media are needed either for the production process itself or for supporting processes and can have very special properties. Thanks to the VERINOX used, Lipp can tailor the tank material exactly to medium and process and thus offer the best technical and economic solution. Parts and accessories can also be individually selected and installed according to the project. This means that Lipp system solutions can be considered both for simple solutions such as part of a fire protection system, but also for complex requirements, such as in the pharmaceutical and beverage industry. So much flexibility in terms of the possibilities for use is a powerful argument for cooperation with Lipp. Engineering offices gain a partner who covers a wide range of applications and provides the same high quality worldwide.

Efficient on site production enables silos with a variable diameter to be installed quickly and cost effectively at the customer’s site. ACCESSORIES Modules prefabricated at the factory, e.g. filling and draining systems, can be installed and added. THOUSANDS OF PROJECTS REALISED WORLDWIDE The tried and tested LIPP system has been used to construct thousands of systems all over the world for more than 55 years. In particular, customers value the longevity of the tank solutions and the possibility of easily modifying them or fitting a wide variety of accessories during their service life. A selection of the projects carried out using LIPP bulk storage containers is shown below

WASTE TO ENERGY INDUSTRY BIOGAS FROM ANAEROBIC WASTE WATER TREATMENT AND WASTE FERMENTATION PLANTS. Due to their technical characteristics and profitability, Lipp tank and system solutions are used in a variety of industrial biogas plants. Two areas of application can be distinguished, which in many cases also follow both objectives. APPROPRIATE PROCESS TECHNOLOGY, SUITABLE CONTAINER TECHNOLOGY AND THE RIGHT DIMENSIONSFirst, the anaerobic treatment of various industrial waste waters, such as in food production, biofuels or similar. The main objective here is the anaerobic pretreatment of highly contaminated but easily degradable waste water to reduce the COD load before it can go to the next stage of aerobic waste water treatment. The challenge is that in spite of the low DM content, a high degree of degradation is achieved by biomass retention or return and at the same time, biogas is produced. Due to the flexibility and variability of the Lipp system in terms of procedures
