Single jersey, rib, interlock melange fabrics. Melange (or heather effect) is 2 or 3-tone effect achieved by special dyeing process on knit fabrics. We have over 50 different melange effects on knitted fabrics. Melange is often used to represent the kind of effect on fabric surface. Melange or heather effect is achieved either; – through dyed yarn effect – through dyeing technique Melange or cationic yarns are dyed to exact colour and melange effect intended during yarn texturising or spinning. Polyester DTY and FDY cationic yarns are used for polyester compositions. Polyester spun, viscose spun yarns are also employed for melange effect knit fabrics. No subsequent dyeing is needed for coloured melange yarns after knitting. Melange yarns produced in raw white form are dyed to exact pantone colour after knitting. Melange yarns (or cationic) are inherently given the melange effect intended after dyeing and finishing.

Softshell derives its name from its inherent fabric structure. Softshell fabrics consist of 2 , 3 or 4 layers of fabric compounded with usually Polyurethane membrane. Outer skin structure offers waterproof and windproof functionality whereas membrane allows air passage and hence breathability of human skin. Outer fabric in softshell is usually 1/1 , 2/1 Oxford woven Polyester fabric layered with PU membrane. Polyester/Elastane (Lycra or Spandex or Creora may be) fabric also commonly used as shell fabric. Softshell fabrics find use in extreme sportswear, outdoor wear, sportswear, special work clothes and performance wear. Cotton/Polyester blended regenerated (recycled) yarns are most widely used in weaving and knitting applications. Diversified end uses enable Cotton/Polyester blend recycled yarn to find widest use. Yarns spun with Open End (Rotor) technology are preferred mainly due to their low cost of production and low pilling properties. Open End Cotton yarns on contrary has rough touch and low breaking strength properties.
