Laser cutting

Plasma cutting operates by firing an electrically ionised heated gas (plasma) out of a nozzle at a high speed towards the metal. This will form an electrical ark within the gas. High level of heat is generated as electricity from the nozzle travels down this plasma. This heat melts the metal where cutting is achieved. Plasma cutters can cut stainless steel, aluminium, brass and copper along with mild steel. It’s particularly ideal for thick metal, up to 50 mm. If cutting highly reflective or very thick sheets of metal is required, plasma should be the ideal cutting method. Our modern steelwork fabrication shops have computer-aided design and detailing (CAD), which is linked directly to factory floor computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery, creating a genuine seamless CAD/CAM environment. Novelty Steel has adapted EN 1090-2 standards into its manufacturing processes supervised by experienced quality management team.

The company has 2 fiber lasers, with which it performs cutting both for its own needs and for customers. Our goal is to provide good service, which means fast response, excellent quality, competitive prices. Laser cutting machines are equipped with two removable replaceable tables measuring 1500 x 3000 mm and it is adapted for continuous three-shift mode. The maximum cutting thicknesses for the different materials are: Mild steel - 20 mm Stainless steel - 12 mm Aluminum - 12 mm Copper - 5 mm Bronze - 5 mm

Thanks to Trumpf TruTube 3000 Fiber that we have included in our machiner in 2021. we can process tubes and sections up to 170 mm diameter or side dimensions. Laser cutting of tubes and sections, used in a wide range from the machinery industry to the furniture industry, offers you new pipe and profile construction possibilities that cannot be realized with traditional methods in pipe and profile construction. All kinds of contours and shapes that cannot be made with traditional methods are achieved with laser with low tolerances and at the same time saving time.
