M.E.G.A. STANDARD FITTINGS and UNIONS are high quality products that can be supplied both threaded (according to ASME B1.20.1) and socketweld, as well as SWAGE NIPPLES that are available in all standardised variants threaded, BW, plainend, eccentric. This family of standard products is available in carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex and superduplex stainless steel, nickel alloys, copper alloys, titanium and others. The material can be certified NSF 61, NACE, PED, and Norsok.

Among the branch outlet fittings, the socalled MEGALETS stand out, selfreinforcing branch outlets with a traditional 90° conformation to the main pipeline. Depending on the different configurations, they are divided into LATROMEGALET that can be installed to obtain a branch outlet with an angle other than 90°. ELBOWMEGALET that can be mounted on a curve. INSERT MEGALET that can be welded directly inside the main pipe. All these types can be supplied with butt weld (BW), socketweld, threaded and also flanged ends.

The SPECIAL PRODUCTS section includes all FITTINGS, NOZZLES and SPECIAL FLANGES made to specific customer requirements in the following materials carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex and superduplex stainless steel, nickel alloys, copper alloys, titanium and other metals. HEAVY WALL FITTINGS are manufactured from customer specifications, or from accurate design according to the requirements of international codes, including ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ASME B&PV Code Section I, Section III, Section VIII Division 1 and Division 2, PED, RCCM, EN 13480, EN 10253 or others, and is supported by finite element analysis or calculation reports. In this product category, we have special tees (e.g. two, three or more branch outlets), special wyes (two, three or more ways, with piggability requirements), special caps, special flanges (e.g. swivel flanges, anchor flanges) and flanged fittings, and many other types of fittings designed and developed according to specific requirements.

Thanks to continuous investments in new technologies, M.E.G.A. is able to obtain seamless pipes from a forged bar up to 11,000 mm in length and 1,400 mm in outside diameter. The special machining process enables M.E.G.A. to produce special seamless SMLS pipes as thin as 20mm (depending on the other dimensions) as well as large diameters. Pipes can be manufactured from carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex and superduplex stainless steel, and can be plated with CRA material (typically UNS N06625 or 316L) to ensure corrosion resistance. DSS and SDSS pipes can be produced to be Norsok M650 compliant.

The welding division is M.E.G.A.'s new investment designed to meet the needs of a growing market. We manufacture spools and other special assemblies to meet customer requirements with certified welds guaranteed by our quality system. Cladding can be carried out on all machined products (inside/outside forgings, ring joint seats of flanges etc.).

S.p.A. has always invested in new technologies with the aim of improving its machining capabilities as well as meeting market needs and our customers’ requirements above all.

Our designs are supported by Finite Element Analysis and mathematical design calculations. They are also done to international standards, such as ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ASME B&PV Code Section I, Section III, Section VIII Division 1 and Division 2, PED, RCCM, EN 13480 and EN 10253. Other aspects such as corrosion tolerance, fatigue and piggability can also be assessed and analysed.

M.E.G.A.’s forging and heattreatment division is capable of forging fittings (in a closed die) up to 4” 16 kg. The heat treatment furnaces and tanks are all certified to Norsok M650 and ASTM A991 standards and can treat any product that M.E.G.A. produces (large and small forgings, pipes and any other type of part).

M.E.G.A.'s new investment to meet the demands of a growing market concerns the welding department, which is capable of cladding all parts produced (e.g. internal/external of forgings, flange surfaces and fittings, etc.).

A stateoftheart ISO 17025certified laboratory is an indispensable part of any company whose aim is to supply materials with excellent mechanical properties. Mechanical tests, NDE tests, micrographic examinations and ASTM A262 corrosion tests are carried out inhouse by qualified and certified personnel.
