Novelis Advanz™ 6HF – s200

Novelis Fusion™ 6HF – s200 is a heat treatable product for applications with extremely demanding formability requirements. This product is recommended for inner applications such as decklid and door inners and other closure inner panels. This product has an excellent balance of properties for forming and strength. In addition, it offers a unique advantage in the hemming process enabling sharp feature lines and rope hem designs that permit the reduction in perceived gap between adjacent panels. Novelis Advanz™ 6CM – s300 is a heat treatable product for automotive structural and crash component applications. This product offers an excellent balance of properties: superior formability in the as-supplied temper, high in service strength, excellent bending and crash behavior. Novelis Advanz™ 6CM – s300 has a wide array of applications for general structure and crash energy absorption such as engine supports, cross members, transmission tunnel and front and rear crash members. As the in-service strength of Advanz™ 6CM – s300 is significantly higher than normal 5xxx alloys, this provides significantly higher energy absorption during crush. All values listed are typical.

Novelis Advanz™ 6CM – s118 is a heat treatable product for automotive structural and inner applications. Advanz™ 6CM – s118 was primarily developed for hood inners, in order to meet the highest pedestrian safety requirements while also offering a 6xxx series uni-alloy solution. In the as-supplied temper, this product is soft and highly formable – ideally suited to form complex parts such as hood inners. Developed for inner closure panels with special requirements, Novelis Advanz™ 6CM – s118 has excellent forming characteristics as well as a superior bending performance. Advanz™ 6CM -s118 has moderate strength after paint baking and offers controlled energy absorption in a crash situation. All values are typical.

Novelis Fusion™ 6HF – s200RW is a heat treatable product for applications with extremely demanding formability requirements. Fusion™ 6HF – s200RW offers the ultimate additional solution for remote laser welding of aluminium 6xxx alloys without the need for any additional metal. Access to the weld area is enhanced, welding speed is increased and the stability of the process is improved in comparison with standard laser welding processes. This product is recommended for inner panels with high formability requirements such as door inners or other closure inner panels. With Fusion™ 6HF – s200RW “near-edge” welding, a reduction in the flange length to as little as 5mm becomes possible. All values are typical.
