Ofil develops, designs, and manufactures imaging systems that detect during daytime invisible UVc radiation and make it visible, presented as a natural readable visual image. Processes that involve emission of UV, such as ionization air on the surface of hi/medium voltage installations, a phenomenon renown as corona, are thereby discovered by Ofil's systems. Other applications that benefit from Ofil's UV core technology are off-shore oil leaks mapping and cold fire detection. Ofil owns patents on solar blind & visible blind UV detection, and pending intellectual rights on UV tracking. Ofil uses the brand name DayCor for its range of daytime corona detection systems. DayCor systems feature high sensitivity to UVc sources with high signal/noise ratio and provide pinpointed data of remote or nearby partial discharge occurrences, as needed by utilities assets management and maintenance teams. Ofil offers elaborated aerial multi sensors systems for helicopters and UAS, vehicle mounted inspection systems, handheld compact cameras and optical filters for researchers. Ofil products are sold through a worldwide network of representatives. Hundreds of systems are in use at major electric utilities, high-voltage laboratories, and mining operations.
