The optoCONTROL 2520 is a compact laser micrometer with integrated controller. A high resolution, model variant with measuring ranges of 46 mm and 95 mm as well as variable mounting distances allow a wide range of applications in quality monitoring and production control. The measurement object can be placed at any position within the light curtain and the distance from transmitter to receiver can be freely selected.

Optical micrometers from Micro-Epsilon operate according to the transmitted light principle (ThruBeam micrometer). Here, the transmitter produces a parallel light curtain that is transmitted via a lens arrangement into the receiver unit. The beam is interrupted if an object is in the light path. The resulting shadowing is detected by the receiving optics and output as measurement value. Most optical micrometers are used for dimensional measurements in production, machine monitoring and quality assurance. Parameters such as diameter, gap, height and position are detected with high accuracy.

thicknessGAUGE sensor systems are used for precise thickness measurements of strip materials, plates and sheets up to 50 mm. Several models with different sensor types, measuring ranges and measuring widths enable inline thickness measurements of different materials and surfaces based on an unmatched price/performance ratio. This fully assembled system comprises a stable frame on which two optical distance sensors are fixed, which detect the thickness of the measuring object according to the difference principle. The sensors are perfectly aligned to each other in terms of their mounting condition. Furthermore, thickness calibration at the factory enables high precision thickness measurements.

The confocalDT 2421 and 2422 controllers are used for distance and thickness measurements of diffuse reflecting and specular surfaces. Available as either a single- or a dual-channel version, these confocal chromatic measuring systems offer a low cost solution especially for series applications. The active exposure regulation feature in the CCD array enables accurate, fast surface compensation on changing surfaces. This controller is compatible with all sensor types of the IFS series covering numerous measurement tasks. The controller is optionally available as a multi-peak version for multi-layer thickness measurements. Using a special calculation function, the confocalDT 2422 dual-channel version evaluates both channels. Measurement acquisition is synchronous and can be carried out while exploiting the full measuring rate for both channels.

The LVP-25-Z20 and LDR-14-Z20 sensors are used for monitoring the clamping position in machine tools. These inductive sensors are integrated in the release device and directly measure the clamping stroke of the drawbar onto which the target ring is glued. Due to their extremely compact design, these sensors are used for different types of tools while providing high-precision and continuous monitoring. No adjustment is necessary when changing the tool.
