The electronic temperature switch of BEDIA is fitted with thin-film resistor Pt 1000 in a bridge circuit. This sensor element provides close switch point tolerances and a quick response. Switch point and reset hysteresis may be selected within the admissible operating range when ordering so as to allow the monitoring of both very wide and very close temperature ranges. The switching output is protected from short-circuit and overload. The short-circuit current is limited by the output transistor switching off inthe event of a fault. It will automatically reset as soon as the fault has been remedied. The switch is available with ground-connected, plus-connected or potential-free DC switching output. The switch is open in the event of power failure or disconnection of the power supply, independed of the switching function. It is available both as normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) switch.

Ripcord emergency stop switch In the event of an emergency, conveyor belt systems must be able to be switched off at any point along the line. That is why ripcord emergency stop switches are required by standards as additional safety measures. FTK Förderband Technik Kilian GmbH ripcord emergency stop switches have a locking mechanism. They are operated by pulling or breaking the cord. The system is reset manually. “Parts for ripcord systems” are needed to safely install ripcords. These parts are designed to suit our ripcord emergency switches and individual applications.

In order to meet the demands for robustness and efficient heat output, we have embroidered the heating element on a glass mesh fabric carrier material. Between the meandering arrangement of the heating strands, we integrate a recess for the temperature switch in the CAD layout. In addition, a second wire is laid concurrently as a PTC thermistor for the electrical connection of the safety switch. After the technical embroidery process, the safety switch is inserted and connected by our company’s respective department. Each prefabricated element is tested for functionality and performance in the final inspection and is delivered to the customer after passing the test. As a semi-finished product, the infrared heating element on glass mesh fabric can be further processed by the customer, e.g. in connection with silicone, rubber or epoxy resin.
