The field of application of PM elements has expanded beyond traditional markets to brand new ones, from research to industrial environments: Biomedicine, Spectroscopy, Metrology, Sensorics, Telecommunications, Laser technology, Surveillance & Security, Lithography. DIAMOND supplies high-quality solutions to polarization maintaining (PM) and polarizing (PZ) fiber optical interfaces for optimal control of the signal’s polarization state. Two production process are available in two product lines. Our broad PM standard products achieve a low Insertion Losses (IL) combined with high polarization extinction ratios (PER) and higher return losses (RL) thanks to our independent process of Active Core Alignment and Active Orientation. The multichannel connectors based on our DM technology insert (HE-2000, MIL-38999 DM, MIL-83526 DM) are fully compatible with the PM standard termination. The PM+ product line is available on homologated connectors, fibers and cables, and provide the same low IL

This month, Knight Optical is excited to unveil a brand-new range of Fluorescence Filter Sets. As its first product launch of the year, the announcement comes as welcome news to those working on fluorescence imaging applications, who demand premium-quality, ultra-precision Filter Sets for high-efficiency transmission. The launch follows the business’ 30th anniversary, which the global optics supplier celebrated last year, and demonstrates its dedication in continually evolving the growth of its already-comprehensive portfolio of cutting-edge, custom-made, and stock optical components. Here, the trusted brand discusses its new product offering and runs through the indispensable technicalities behind the sets.Filters and Sets to Meet Every Application’s Needs As a set of optics that are typically used for fluorescence applications within fields such as biology, materials science, chemistry, medical diagnostics, and mineralogy; for example,

The best known microstructured optic is the Fresnel lens. Compared to a standard lens the surface of the fresnel lens is divided into a number of concentric grooves allowing for a wide range of optical effects (e.g. high-aperture (fast) large-area) while also reducing thickness, weight and cost. Fresnel lenses can be designed as a collimator, collector or with finite conjugates. They are usually corrected for spherical aberration. We offer a variety of standard designs as well as custom designs for our customers. Our lenses can be finished with a range of optical coatings and nanostructures and will be trimmed precisely to our customers requirements.
