Cortec VpCI® 150 Adhesive Foam Tape vs.Corrosion Inhibitors. Valdamark Direct offers two corrosion protection solutions: Cortec VpCI® 150 Adhesive Foam Tape and Corrosion Inhibitors.Both combat corrosion but differ in application and composition. Cortec VpCI® 150 is a specialised tape using Cortec’s VpCI technology.This foam tape releases vapor-phase inhibitors forming a protective layer on metal surfaces.It’s versatile, shielding various metals, electronics, and equipment.The adhesive backing ensures easy application for both short and long-term protection.The foam’s closed-cell structure seals out moisture and air, while cushioning against damage. Corrosion Inhibitors are a broader category, available in coatings, additives, or chemicals.They prevent corrosion by forming protective barriers, altering pH, or competing with corrosive elements.Types include Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors (VCIs), similar to VpCI tape, Oxide Inhibitors, Anodic Inhibitors, and Cathodic Inhibitors.
