Our company emerged from a service contract between Schnellpressenfabrik Heidelberg AG (now Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG) and Leopold Weinlich, tasking him with the development of a numerical control with which he set up his own business in 1963. Today, we primarily produce modular equipment for testing engines, which can be operated easily and safely – thanks in no small part to the control devices. Our products: - Engine test benches (braking dynamometers), - control and measuring technology for transportable engine test benches, - reusable engine supports for operating engines on test benches or at no load, - set-up and preparation of engines for testing, - modernisation of dynamometers, - basis for torque testing, - bullet velocity meters for safe measurement of exit speeds on firearms, special designs for material testing, - methods for winding up cables.

The MP Computer is a comfortable, comprehensive and easy-to-handle evaluation, display and control unit for different types of engine test beds. Its clear and ergonomic arrangement fascilitates the work with the test bed. Desired loads can be adjusted quickly and easily. Specialists are not required. Many optional additional functions increase enlarge the comfort of the MP Computer. Maintaining permanent accuracy of torque measurement is facilitated by a semi-automatic calibration routine. Existing engine/motor test beds can be modernized by an MP Computer. Transportable engine supports minimize the times of standstill of the engine test bed, as the engines can be built up and tested separately. The mounted engines can be coupled to the engine test bed quickly and without any effort. RWB mobile operation trolleys and Universal Engine Supports may be used with MP dynamometers and with other suitable dynamometers (by Weinlich or other manufacturers). Their modular design allows interchangeability and reusability. RWB are mobile thanks to swivel rollers. They have a load capacity of max. 800 kg. A RWB mobile operation trolley has a low base frame from which single supports lead up to the fixing points of the engine. By this design all parts of the engine can be reached as well as possible. Thanks to its solid and proven construction the mobile operation trolley is nevertheless able to match up to the stress during power tests. Testing big engines and transmissions without water cooling

New: EV Braking Dynamometer Particularly for testing passenger car engines, truck engines and transmission units with combustion engines. When the electric mains is too weak for frequency converters, cooling water is not available or water-cooling is not desired or when air-cooled eddy-current brakes are not sufficient, Weinlich recommends the new design EV. This design applies technology of today to a traditional method of engine testing: i.e. driving an electric generator loaded by an external resistor. Advantages: ‑ the braking torque can be adjusted as comfortably as on all electric machines, e.g. eddy current brakes, ‑ neither hot or humid air nor frost obstacle the dynamometer’s function, - no maintenance is required except for greasing the generator’s main bearings and cleaning or exchanging the filter tissues of the generator’s forced air cooling, ‑ nothing is endangered by corrosion, scaling, or incrustation, because there is no water in the system.
