Piston and Rod Reconditioning All pistons and rods are inspected to assess how to proceed with reconditioning and to ensure their suitability for re-use. Piston reconditioning may include re-machining of grooves and re-anodizing. Rod reconditioning may include machining, grinding, polishing and the application of specialized spray coatings. Finally, all parts are re-assembled including piston and rider rings.

Connecting rod assembly is made up of big-end bearing shell (upper bearing inserts), small-end bearing shell (copper sleeve, lower bearing inserts), connecting rod bolt and connecting rod body. according to the relative motion between components being plane motion or spatial motion, it can be classified into plane connecting rod mechanism and spatial connecting rod mechanism.According to the number of components in the mechanism, it can be classified into four-rod mechanism,five-rod mechanism etc.. Normally,the connecting rod mechanism of five rods and over five rods is named as multi-rod mechanism. When the degree of the connecting rod is 1, it is named as single freedom connecting mechanism; When the degree of the freedom of connecting rod is greater than 1,it is named as multiple freedom connecting rod mechanism. Crankshaft:a most important element of compressor,normally die forged by medium carbon steel or medium carbon alloy steel.To improve resistance to abrasion and fatigue,journal is processed with high-frequency quenching or nitriding treatment,as well as ground finishing to obtain high surface hardness and surface roughness.Under cooperation with connecting rod,it turns the gas pressure on piston into the power of rotation,and transferred to the transmission mechanism of chassis,and meanwhile,to drive the actuating mechanism and other auxiliary devices,such as blower fan,pump and power generator etc. When in operation,it bears gas pressure,inertia force and inertia moment.It suffers form great and sophisticated stress,and as well as the impact effect of alternating load.Meanwhile,being a fast rotating component,it should be provided with enough rigidity and strength,outstanding ability to bear impact load,and excellent abrasion resistance and lubrication.

While there are many variations and innovations of wipers, there are basically two types. Normally two or three wipers are used in an oil seal and as previously indicated may be used as a part of or in conjunction with a pressure packing. The scraper is designed specifically for those applications where total oil control is necessary. Available in both cast iron and bronze, the unique design and operation of these rings provide extremely effective containment of lubricants in their intended area as well as long trouble free service.
