DEAS SA, a family owned company founded in 1989. The processing – selling of olives started in middle 60’s selling moderately the family’s olives but due to the constant development today DEAS SA is a 100% exporting company with exports to more than 50 countries around the world. Our wide range of products consists of green, black, Kalamata & confites (oxidized) olives. These olives are sold whole, pitted, dated, stuffed, marinated, sliced etc. We stuff olives with almond, garlic, pimiento, red natural sweet pepper, red natural hot pepper, caper, onion, jalapeno red and green, sun dried tomato, cucumber, whore red or green hot pepper (piri-piri) etc. or even with a combination of the stuffing’s (double stuffed). Our Turnover has exceeded the 30 million Euro and we are processing more than 14.000 tons of olives yearly. We are located at Kalives, Chalkidiki, 50 km from Thessaloniki Airport, At every stage of production, the company applies Quality Control System “ISO 9001: 2000” and for food safety system ISO: 22000 (HACCP) We apply also the requirements of the BRC (British Retail Consortium) and IFS (International Food Safety) systems and Kosher as well. With respect to the fruits of the Greek land, maintaining a good cooperation with the producers of olives, with traditional process methods but also with our renewal through modern technologies, we provide products of stable quality and exceptional taste. With owned facilities 2, 7 ha, of which 2.200 m² building, in the center of production of Green Olives of Chalkidiki, in Ormylia, after continuous extensions the capacity of our tanks surpassed 4.500 tons. As our main concern is the observance of hygiene rules and the reassurance of the quality and safety of our products, we have been certified by International Featured Standards IFS, Certificate of Conformity BRC and ISO 22000: 2005. Milis Nurseries is specialized in the production and trading of fruit and nut plants. In the mid-1960s, Konstantinos Milis, listening to the needs of the Greek arboretum for healthy reproductive material, uses the previously known practices in the region and in collaboration with geotechnical engineers of the era, begins the creation of the first fruit tree nursery (peaches, cherries, apricots, plums, apples, pears, almonds, walnut, hazelnut, etc.). A few years later, his son and current owner, Vassilios Milis, takes over the company's reins enriching the range of offered species, subjects and varieties. In co-operation with both university institutes in the country and with European institutes, we developed trees capable of meeting the increased demands of producers as we strive to maintain high-quality standards for our fruit plants. At the same time, we invested in human resources with agronomists targeting the after sales service. Cooperating with the farmer, providing cultivation knowledge where necessary (plant protection, fertilization, pruning, etc.) while keeping up with modern world trends. Due to the fact that the company is well-known in the European area, it is receiving an ever increasing amount of information and new varieties. Many years of experience and constant research enabled us to master new technologies, thus taking part in larger projets, including abroad, and we are involved in all stages from planting to harvesting.
