Gonabad Refractory started producing all kinds of kaolin. The existence of this mine, which is one of the oldest kaolin mines in the country in Gonabad city, has caused this region to be known as a center of pottery and ceramic production for a long time. The first official operator of Gonabad Refractory Soil Mine was Shargh Cement Company, which started its activity in this mine in 1339 and transferred this responsibility to the Khorasan Regional Mines Company in 1986.KFT(Kani Farawar Toos) mining Company, from the beginning of its activity, despite many problems, with significant investment and application of scientific extraction methods, has succeeded in producing a variety of different types of kaolin with different technical and chemical properties.
