The company Schiess Moweg GmbH was founded in 1970 in Düsseldorf by what was then SCHIESS AG as a hundred-per-cent subsidiary. It originally focused on modernising (MO) SCHIESS machine tools ('Werkzeugmaschinen' – WEG), and this forms the basis of our company name.
