BIOTA is an environmental consulting company with 13 years, specialized in biodiversity and water. Based on an experienced, highly specialized, and permanent team of biologists, along with a broad geographic network of external consultants, we have assembled highly competitive techniques and methodologies to conduct assessments and analyses of terrestrial, aquatic and marine fauna, flora and ecosystems. Our goal is to achieve the best balance between biodiversity conservation and development of client’s projects, through high quality baselines, assessment and monitoring studies and the implementation of the Mitigation Hierarchy. We adhere to the best professional practices, working in accordance with national legislations and, whenever required, following the international guidelines (e.g. IFC Performance Standard 6 – Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Management of Living Natural Resources, Equator Principles). Overcoming challenges with creativity is part of our DNA! Therefore, in the last years, we are partnering with entities of the scientific system, technology companies, among others, for joint research projects, taking our solutions to a next level.

  2. TÊXTEIS EVARISTO SAMPAIO S.A.

    Portugal

Têxteis Evaristo Sampaio S.A. began its business back in 1940, by setting up a small manual spinning and weaving mill next to the river, so it could be powered by the running water. In 1970, this small traditional unit became a sole proprietorship, and in 1982 the company Têxteis Evaristo Sampaio S.A., was formed. That is the reason why we enjoy a great tradition in the market. Sited in a region with a significant tradition of textile industry, we have developed our business in the home fabrics sub-sector of the textile sector, manufacturing wool fabrics, processing the raw material, making fibres and yarns, and producing blankets and covers for the final market. At present, we are, without any doubt, one of the most modern manufacturing units of the home fabrics sub-sector having the most up to date technology, an indoor working area of over 20, 000 m2 and a production capacity of 1, 000, 000 metres of fabric and 2500, 000 kg of thread per year: We have 40 employers.

  3. PORTOEVENTS

    Portugal

PortoEvents organises corporate events in Porto & in northern Portugal. We are a DMC in Porto and we offer events management for away-days, conferences, gala dinners, product launches etc in Porto, the Douro valley and other locations in northern Portugal. Porto is one of Europe’s less well known gems - a beautiful, historic city nestling on the banks of the river Douro and the home of Port Wine. With a population of around 200, 000 people, Porto is not a big city, but the intimacy it generates is its greatest charm. At PortoEvents we work with the unique charms of the city to run events with charisma to contrast with the anonymity that big hotels in big cities can have. Porto is extremely well equipped to run small and medium sized events with a range of locations for bigger conferences and trade fairs such as Exponorte, Alfandega Congress Centre and the nearby Europarque and then a host of mid-sized venues with idiosyncratic charm, such as the Palácio da Bolsa and the Palácio Cristal and then a broad array of charming hotels and unusual locations (particularly those associated with the Port Wine industry). We are a small team of Portuguese and British staff and our focus is all about offering creative and original bespoke packages for our clients. We know that often what makes an event really work is the attention to detail and unexpected surprises. Why not challenge us to come up with something unique for your event!
