WMR Mira Calvo & Co. began their business with the repair and overhaul of machine tools. In 2007, the company set itself new goals and has since focussed on repairing and overhauling grinding machines. Our services range from straightforward repair or partial overhaul to the complete overhaul of conventional and CNC cylindrical or surface grinding machines. We also sell a range of grinding machines that have been entirely or partially overhauled by us. In 2015, WMR Mira took over the BRAND surface grinders manufacturing plant from Fritz Studer in Thun, Switzerland. In 2018, WMR Mira AG took over Fritz Studer AG's "OLD MACHINES" spare parts and service in Thun. The following work is carried out during a complete overhaul: Repair, repair service on site, technical support, retrofitting of electrical controls, complete overhaul and bespoke software. All completely overhauled machines are delivered with a warranty and having undergone geometric inspection.

Since 1997, we have been an expert partner in the field of contract manufacturing for large parts (up to 50 tons) for the precision machining of casting, steel and polymer concrete, as well as repairs, servicing and retrofitting. Our team, which currently comprises 37 dedicated and highly experienced fitters and machine operators, will enthusiastically find a solution to the most demanding of tasks. We particularly specialise in the machining of components for German and European plant and tool engineering on a large scale. In addition to traditional milling and boring mill processing up to 16 m in length, we also offer planing up to 11 m and surface and sideways grinding up to 13 m. In the area of retrofitting, we assume responsibility for everything from the renovation of guide rails to the complete modernisation of machine tools. We can also carry out malfunction diagnoses, maintenance and repairs directly at our customers' premises. We also do business with used machine tools of all types and from all manufacturers, both national and international.
