In the distillery Mackmyra Bruk, Sweden, is created the famous Scandinavian whisky Mackmyra. A strong flavored, Scandinavian tasting malt. You are looking for a malt whisky which follows the Scottish production route but is offering something genuinely different, then Mackmyra’s your malt! Distilled with Swedish barley, matured in very small casks, Mackmyra’s whisky is produced with local ingredients and without additives. The result has put Sweden on the international whisky map. Some of Mackmyra’s whiskys are: Mackmyra First Edition: matured in small virgin Swedish oak casks; Mackmyra Special 03 Small Casks: for the maturation of this experimental malt a mixture of Sherry, Bourbon and New Swedish Oak casks were used; Mackmyra Special 01 Eminent Sherry: matured in Spanish sherry casks, offering this whisky a warming, spicy character; and olso: The special 10th Anniversary edition of Mackmyra: matured in Swedish oak as well as bourbon casks.
