MAUROBERA SA is a CHARCOAL and BRIQUETTES manufacturer and wholesaler distributor, with head offices in Montevideo, Uruguay, and inland production sites in the Chaco region of Argentina and Paraguay. After more than ten years in the charcoal business we have fine tuned and expand our production capabilities as to fully meet the requirements of consumers and food service customers in the most demanding world markets. MAUROBERA SA produce charcoal briquettes, lump charcoal, hardwood charcoal, planed timber, sawn timber and timber logs. Since 1995 our products are sold in several brand names and private labels in most European countries and The States. We only use selected hardwoods to elaborate the right mix which minimizes smoke. Our lump charcoal is made only with logs which have been selected cuts grown under regulated forest regeneration programs. The dense subtropical wood species mix we use makes for a charcoal of premium quality with high caloric output and long lasting burn.

Laskana is a timber port, which is occupied in wholesale trade of pulpwood, firewood and wood chips. We produce a part of the woodchip and firewood, the rest production is purchased. Our main advantages are the ice-free port of Liepaja. Excellent geographical location and a highly developed infrastructure allows processing of freights what comes through railway, sea and land. Total area is 7 ha of which 80% are covered by reinforced concrete plates. The company has a railway supply road with the total length of 366 metres where 20 freight cars can be supplied and unloaded at the same time. There are 3 port halts, 2 halts with the total length of 340 metres and depth of 6.5 metres. One of the halts is 100 metres long and 3.5 metres deep. Area of the warehouse is 6000 m². We are providing port, repair shops, cranes, industrial machinery and transport services.
