Die Prüfmaschine mit der Bezeichnung „Twist-Control“ und dessen neu entwickeltes Verfahren erlauben eine kostengünstige Messung mechanischer Werkstoffeigenschaften in kürzester Zeit von direkt aus der Schmelze abgegossenen Probekörpern. Auf diese Weise sind Rückschlüsse auf die Qualität der Schmelzen möglich und die Festigkeitswerte von Gussteilen vor dem eigentlichen Gießprozess prüfbar. So lassen sich Maßnahmen für eine Qualitätsverbesserung (Schmelzebehandlung) treffen und Ausschuss wird vermindert.
